Recipe Book Features Treats for Pets by Author with Extensive TV-Media Experience Dear Publishers & Literary Agents: Here’s a unique recipe book designed to make pets happy – the SMILING PETS RECIPE BOOK for pet treats. Now that pets have become an integral part of a family, the book offers a fun way to reward them with treats, much like a human child. The book contains 101 easy to make recipes you can make from items off your kitchen shelf in five minutes or less. A three-minute preparation of turkey, veal or liver baby food cookies for your dog or cat ensures a lifetime of TLC. Apple Snax for your horse-pet brings neighing approval. The Cherry Pie Suet keeps the birds tweeting. Sampling of a few recipe titles are: Laced with photos and inspirational pet quotes, this recipe book is a feel-good book that makes a great gift book or impulse item. I self-published the book to rave reviews and lots of media coverage, including the Beverly Hills Vet on Animal Planet, Totally Pets with Cyndy Garvey on ABC’s Family Channel, and the Jackie Olden Radio Show on KCMJ in Los Angeles and Palm Springs. I was inspired to write the book after my children left the nest and I became closer to my pet-family. I soon began using my kitchen as a laboratory, whipping up treats for my poodle Charlie, who smiled each time I gave him a treat. Then, I began experimenting with treats for cats, birds, and horses. As for me, I'm a Native American descendant who, after residing in a rural area northwest of Chicago for the last 14 years, am now living in Oklahoma, where I was raised . Since childhood, I have had all types of pets from horned toads, ferrets, lizards, and crawdads to, birds, dogs, cats, horses and llamas. Recently, I completed a charity cookbook for the Indian Princess Organization titled the NATIVE & AMERICAN INSPIRATIONAL COOKBOOK (www.IndianPrincess.org), and am working on an inspirational Christmas cookie recipe book for pets. Now I am looking for a mainstream publisher to take over the book, and I am eager to help in further promoting it. If you’re interested, I can send you some sample chapters or the complete book.
