Connie Fewell ReisenbiglerAuthor can be contacted via email at: thesmilingpets@aol.com A proud pet-mom and first time author of The Smiling Pets Recipe Book, 101 Easy-Make Treats, 5 Minutes Or Less Prep Time! Connie Fewell Reisenbigler is a life-long pet lover. This Native American descendant, reared in Oklahoma, with dazzling blue eyes and jet black hair, has been associated from birth with all types of pets. These pets ranged from horned toads, ferrets, lizards, crawdads; and yes, birds, dogs, cats, horses and llamas. She became a pet-mom to all. Her lifestyle extends through to date. Upon marrying Ardie Reisenbigler, they moved to a rural suburban area of Chicago. Their surroundings held wild birds, and room for horses, dogs and cats to romp. When their children went on their own, this baby boomer developed a closer affinity with her pets. She started making treats for her dog, Charlie. Charlie smiled when he received a treat. Thus, the title of this recipe book, “The Smiling Pets” was conceived. While Connie experimented with making pet treats, she scoured the book stores and library for pet recipe books. None could be found. Her kitchen became her laboratory. Taking items from her shelves, she began creating treats for dogs, cats, birds and horses. Connie has a flair with food presentation. Since she travels extensively with her husband, she is exposed to many different food creations. This creativity is carried over to the way in which she presents her pet treats. Her next projects are Christmas cookies for pets, pre-packaged Krunchy Kritter doggie donuts and cat cookies (recipes in cook book). As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Editor & Website Designer: Melanie Bechtold Assistant: Sami J.
